Based on the “Roadmap Guidelines” put out by the state, collaboration with the Saginaw County Health Department, input from teachers and staff, and the preferences on our family surveys we have two options for you to choose from while we are in Phase 4 of the Michigan Safe Start Plan. Knowing your choices will help in solidifying the specifics of our plan. Please submit your answers by August 10th, 2020. Our first option is face to face instruction Monday through Friday. With this option, we will be following the safety protocols of the Return to School Roadmap. Students grades 6-12 will be required to wear face masks during the day unless participating in an outdoor activity or eating breakfast or lunch. Elementary students will be kept with their classroom cohorts throughout the day, and will not be required to have masks on in the classroom. Social distancing practices will be followed as much as possible, as well as many other safety protocols. Our second option is a home based virtual program. Students will be moving through the curriculum using an online program. Support will be available for students choosing this option by certified instructors. All 9-12 grade students taking the PSAT and SAT are required to come into school to take the test, which is a state requirement for graduation.
